Dark Suns, Bright Waves

Comte’s work creates immersive environments consisting of sculptures, paintings, digital technologies, and interactive installations, which are often activated by performers or audience members themselves. Her body of work is best known for its site-specific installations. The artist's practice is guided by a distinct rule-measurement system of her own creation, wherein each artwork specifically relates to the others. Comte's minimalist approach to art making is equal parts methodical and dynamic; her works are infused with a distinct sense of playfulness.

Born in Switzerland, Comte has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions, most recently Tree Line Curve, Rolex Learning Center, EPFL Lausanne (2021–2022); The Dreamers, 58th October Salon, Belgrade Biennale 2021; After Nature, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid (2022); Jungle and Corals, König Galerie, Berlin (2021); and The Sea of Darkness, Kunstraum Dornbirn (2021).
