Al-Mahash is a historic residential neighborhood located within the old district of Al-Ula, intersected by the railway that runs along its outskirts. The neighborhood is divided into northern and southern sections, with two valleys that flow into it, ultimately converging into a single valley. A notable landmark is the Ramadan Cannon, which signals the end of fasting for residents at the time of the call to prayer. Surrounding the cannon are ancient castles and a historic site that once served as a water supply station for pilgrims. Additionally, the area features a livestock market, further enriching its cultural and historical significance.
