			<p data-renderer-start-pos="1035">Deumer is a Canadian artist currently living and working in Los Angeles, California. Her multimedia installations highlight interrelations between different kinds of reproduction&mdash;including biological, visual, mechanical, and social. Often, Deumer&rsquo;s work reflects imagery of its own making or surroundings, embodying a performative quality. Complexities of female identity formation figure prominently, specifically in relation to language, media, science, and technology.&nbsp;</p>

			<p data-renderer-start-pos="1509">Deumer has been an artist-in-residence at Factory Media Centre, Hamilton; Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity; Cerritos College, Norwalk; and The Reef, Los Angeles. Her work has been shown in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ecuador.</p>
